Idiom of the Week

Please see our collection as it grows in our regular posts!! We also have a visual representation in our classroom. Please visit.

Word Curiosities

Every week we will choose a challenging word from our studies and explorations in class and add to our on-going work in "word curiosities". These words will be added weekly to this blog. Currently, we are studying the Explorers and Colonial America. In connection with these studies we are exploring the following words (for complete weekly vocabulary assignments, please visit Link Library on wiki. Click here)

New England colonies
Middle colonies
Southern colonies
pilgrim
puritan
indentured servant
slavery

A student also coined a new word for us as we explored traditional Self-to-Text Connections. Since we use so much technology, we now say that we do....

Self-to-Textnology Connections.

When you do these types of connections, you are....

Self-to-Textnological
